Setepés is developing human resource management consulting for EGEAC - Lisbon Municipality’s public enterprise for Management of Cultural Facilities, ranging from historical monuments, to museums and theatres.
We consult by working collaboratively with our clients, involving them in creating and developing a participative process to bring about real change. In this case, the challenge is to design and set up a performance management system that both acknowledges EGEAC’s cultural mission and attends to the changing paradigm: from performance measurement to performance management and growing demands for public scrutiny and accountability.
Setepés is responsible for the coordination of Paredes Centre of Furniture Design, a project to reinvent a territory for a sustainable development, based on design and creativity. the aim is to enable change
Setepés was convened in order to collaborate with the National Theatre D. Maria II (TNDM II) as a Consultant for the Development of Skills of the .
Staff of this Theatre. Such consulting consisted on one hand, in a Strategic and Technical Consulting which included the development of a Diagnosis for Training Needs, and on the other hand a Consulting initiative just dedicated to the Human Resources of the organization, from which a the development of an Internal Training Plan developed. The project provided accredited vocational training by DGERT for all collaborators of the organization.
Setepés conceived an Annual Training Programme for the D. Maria II National Theatre in 2010. The Programme was designed after the implementation of a training needs assessment to the entire workforce.
Change Management was one of the key learning areas, but Front of House or Stage Safety were also included in the year-long programme.
Another highlight was the Course on ‘Cultural Volunteering Management’. The training aimed to enhance the understanding of the social and institutional value of volunteering, as well as enhancing the participants’ ability to professionally manage a volunteer programme in a cultural institution. Among other national and international teachers and speakers, we were delighted to count with the participation of Brooks Boeke, Manager of the Friends of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Since 2009, Setepés maintains a partnership with the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Madeira (DRAC) to qualify the professionals of the cultural organizations of the region.
In the frame of the financing program
RUMOS; Setepés developed training proposals and innovative solutions appropriate to the growing demands facing the cultural sector.
The experience accumulated by Setepés and a vast knowledge about the cultural and creative sector in Portugal led to the development of several training programs fully aligned with the objective of strengthening the skills of the professional of cultural organizations.
Setepés maintains a partnership with Artemrede, which reflects the commitment of this organization in the training and skills development, promoting the consolidation its member’s activity.
This is the fourth training plan developed under the partnership and includes six training courses and an international workshop.
